In Arizona politics, Congressman Paul Gosar’s endorsement is the hottest endorsement you can have from an Arizona elected official. He is perceived as the closest personification of the MAGA movement, and voters who embrace the movement pay particular attention to his endorsements, making them highly sought after by candidates. The latest to receive Gosar’s seal of approval is GOP Attorney General candidate Rodney Glassman.
“I am pleased to endorse @rodneyglassman for Arizona’s next attorney general. Rodney is not just an Air Force Prosecutor (Major in the U.S. Air Force JAG Corps Reserve) but he’s a successful civil attorney.” wrote Gosar in his endorsement.
Glassman is a former Democrat who rejoined the Republican party the day Donald Trump famously came down the escalator to announce his bid for President. His campaign is focused on fighting against governmental overreach, for border security, to protect law enforcement, and to prosecute election fraud, something Glassman himself may have been a victim of in 2020.
“I’m not sure how much endorsements mean in ordinary times,” said one GOP consultant, “but in a crowded GOP primary field, when you’re trying to put together a statewide coalition of 30% of the voters, having someone has dominant in AZ politics as Gosar is can make a real difference.”
Gosar’s other statewide endorsements are Kari Lake for Governor and David Livingston for State Treasurer.
