Rodney Glassman’s Statement in Advance of McCain’s Blair House Summit
Rodney Glassman, candidate for U.S. Senate, released the following statement:
“Will it be John McCain 1.0 or 2.0, who shows up at the Blair House today for health care negotiations with President Obama. Will it be the maverick who worked across party lines on issues like immigration and campaign finance reform? Or will it be John McCain 2.0, who votes against bills he sponsors, just to stick it to a Democratic president? Will he stand up for the one-in-five Arizonans without health insurance and those with insurance facing bankruptcy because they got sick? Or will he stand with a tantrum-throwing minority who wants Washington to fail, no matter the damage done to the lives of hard-working Americans?”
“Arizonans, like all Americans are tired of partisan gamesmanship and the politics of pure obstruction. They want to see reasonable reforms that will provide better coverage at a better price.”
